Joseph's Paintbrush was founded in late January of 2024. The idea came from a desire to escape the corporate landscape, where there is a hierarchy of ownership; to full ownership for the outcome of projects. This desire was set ablaze by the lack of personal accountability within the industry for the work being done.

My name is Justin Getz, I am the owner of Joseph's Paintbrush. I have over 10 years of experience in the Home Improvement world, as a matter of fact, I was probably around 7 years of age when I picked up my first paintbrush. My father has owned his own business for over 30 years. He also works in the Home Improvement industry in Ohio, where from an early age, he began to teach me everything that I know and gave me a chance to perfect my craft.

This passing of generational talents has it's roots in one of the most important relationships in the Bible. Joseph learned the trade of carpentry, starting off as an apprentice. He went on to have his own shop in Jerusalem, eventually he was wed to the Virgin Mary, and they moved back to their hometown of Nazareth. There they had a son, Jesus. Although Jesus had a divine father, he needed a human father, by design, to guide him in this world. Joseph led by example and from an early age Jesus began to be with Joseph at his shop, learning the necessary skills to be a great carpenter someday. I too, shared this human relationship between Jesus and Joseph with my father. Alas, Joseph's Paintbrush has been born.

First and Foremost, I wish to honor God with this business and give him all the praise and glory. I would be nothing without him. Secondly, I wish to honor our Virgin Mary and St. Joseph by being virtuous in my profession and taking heed of the graces presented to me. Lastly, I wish to honor my human father in remembrance of his leading by example.

If we forget to treat others with dignity, don't do our best work, or lose sight of God's importance, then we have failed ourselves and failed humanity.
